GOING:

WORLDS BEST HOOF OIL TROT 1690m

Track: GOOD

POPPY POPSTAR (2) made it two on the trot last time out when she led and battled on well to score by 25 metres at Horsham over 2200m. Sure to enjoy an economical run from this draw. Meets some better types this time but another trip to the winners' circle is not out of the question. ARTIGAS (10) finished second at his most recent outing, beaten 2.25 metres, in a nice return to form at Bendigo over 1650m when second-up from a break. Will need an ounce of luck to slot in from this tricky draw. Meets a comparable field and he can find the winners' circle. DEEP LOVE (6) was responsible for a better effort last time out when third over 2180m at Kilmore. Should run a big race. BLACKRANGE GLORY (11) is also in contention although the draw makes his job a bit tougher.
