PACEWAY RESTAURANT FOR RACE DAY DINING PACE (SKY 1) 1800m

Track: GOOD

MAGIC CAPTAIN (2) made it two in a row last start when he got the cash by 5.5 metres over 1609m at Port Pirie. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. Facing a tougher assignment, but he is good enough to take this out. VATICAN GREEN (5) finished second last start, beaten 2.5 metres at this track over 1800m. Expected to run well. BLACKTOP ROCK (9) will secure a cosy run early on and is in the mix following a sixth at his most recent appearance over 2230m at this track. BETTOR BE LIVELY (7) cops a tricky draw but is the next elect off a last-start win by one metre at this track over 1800m.

Well beaten last start by Bettor Be Lively, a rival who he faces again; was restrained, when 23 metres tenth at this track over 1800m in a NR 50 to 57 race on June 21. Cannot enthuse on what we have seen of late.

Two back was well beaten into seventh after being driven well back, behind Captain Perfect at this track over 2230m in a NR 52 to 59 on June 7 at $26. Then a handy effort when beaten by 2.5 m finishing second behind Blacktop Rock at this track over 1800m in a NR 47 to 54 GROUP on June 16 at $11. Should be in the finish again.
