SOME AMERICAN (3) was tackling stronger company in Sydney before a spell, last seen in the G1 Chariots of Fire and finishing fourth in a G3 prior. Goes very well fresh with two wins and placing from four attempts and was readied with a trial win so has strong claims from a good draw. KINGMAN (11) has never missed a place in four first-up attempts, winning twice. Finished second in the G3 4YO Bonanza at this circuit and distance the last time he was fresh and has trialled so expect a strong return with any luck from the draw. WAR DAN BUDDY (10) drew wide when midfield in the Chariots of Fire when last seen and placed in Group races in his other two starts of that campaign. Contender. METEOR MOTH (6) drew poorly and worked last start but won his previous two here so could bounce back. HES FROM HEAVEN (8) draws for a trail and the shorter distance may suit.
