Expecting Zouandme to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. The obvious on top selection is out so someone gets a nice maiden out of the way here. KENDYACATCHME (3) comes from racing in Queensland and over longer. Some of his older form stacks up and has some important gear changes. ZOUANDME (6) was much closer at the end at Inverell. Will be right up on the pace. BARRON (1) kicks off in conditions that should be acceptable. Should be hitting the line well. MONTE OUT'N'ABOUT (8) has been given plenty of time to be ready for debut. Just watch the betting here if she's ready. NO RAGRETS (5) has some blinkers on and should handle the very heavy surface today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Taking Kendyacatchme to win. |

O'BRIENS ELECTRICAL & PLUMBING MAIDEN HANDICAP 1250m
A solid tempo on the cards with Mr Claus heading them off. This race has been utterly obliterated with the main chances coming out in the morning. Of those left, DENUTO (2) has been around the mark in his outings without that win on the board. He hasn't had much luck at the barriers but can go close. MR CLAUS (7) was not far away in a trial then fair on debut. Suspect a wet track is a help. QUEEN ARNI (10) improved from the spell and the first up effort. She could easily do something now in this field. LUVTOKNOW (11) will be up near the speed most of the way. She is hard fit which can help on these tracks. FUTURE HERO (4) has had two trials with the second one better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Maybe Queen Arni is a chance now. |

RODNEY LEES CABINET MAKING MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Plenty of pace from the outset with Almalikat Sarah and Risk For Reward leading the charge. Once more some obvious hopes are staying home. RISK FOR REWARD (4) always enjoys racing on the pace and should get that opportunity from the gate. Will be fitter again and has to contend now. HE IS THE KISS (2) has been placed his last three. His best is on these wet tracks. At least you know he is rock hard fit deep into the campaign. ROCK THE MACHINE (5) runs again off a nice Casino placing. Just a little more improvement sees him close up. ALMALIKAT SARAH (9) has not been too far away in both her starts. May have liked it even further. SHARMAN PETE (6) possibly needs more ground but could place. SUGGESTED PLAY: Risk For Reward is racing well. |

FAR NORTH COAST CONVEYANCING BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1900m
Plenty of speed from Born To Be Alive and Boult. QUINKY DEEL (3) is bred to love the conditions and the distance. He may have to push on from the gate but that could well be the best play given he has shown speed over shorter. Must go close. MAGADAN (4) had things go wrong last outing when back in trip. Fancy him more now back to this journey. BRAVE BOY (6) runs again quickly here after a very decent effort. He will get back out of his ground but hit the line well. VIADELAMORE (2) came from last to be runner up two weeks ago. He should only build off that. GRIPPING (1) enjoyed the heavy going at Casino. Didn't have much luck at the barriers again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Quinky Deel looks well placed up in ground. |

Moderate tempo with Simply Amazing leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. VETOED (7) was a good winner two back before peaking on the run second up. This step up in ground should only benefit her. Clearly her best efforts have come on rain affected ground. Just needs some fortune early on. CLUBHOUSE (2) has put in two good runs at this course. Does go pretty well first up too and trialled nicely. ANCIENT MISSION (9) has been a little inconsistent but when at her best, she is capable in this company. SIMPLY AMAZING (10) is a good hope especially if it remains very heavy. SUPER JAIE (3) has not got the performances on the board this prep but has been around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Plenty of chances. Vetoed can get back to winning. Simply Amazing another play. |

Strong early tempo with Yalla and All About Artie leading the way. Not many in form left here. YALLA (2) will be a tough one to get by given the form she is in. In a race not too dissimilar two back she won and was close up around that. The claim is important on this type of surface. UNDER THE PALAIS (7) has to find this more suitable than a Brisbane midweek race. Backs up quickly here. ALL ABOUT ARTIE (5) has run several good races around this distance. More than up to getting into the placings. NEOCLASSICISM (3) will be fitter now third up. Does have a bit of weight to carry. MONASTERY (6) resumes and has run some decent races doing just that. Is it too short? SUGGESTED PLAY: Yalla is racing well for top stable. |

She's Enuff to take charge ahead of Chilling at a good tempo. Many of the main winning hopes are scratched leaving only a few chances. OSTRACISED (1) could be a real improver now. He quickly did that to just miss a fortnight ago. Does improve into a campaign as well. Should get a lovely run too. CALVARY (2) never came into his race when resuming. However last preparation he was very consistent so if returning to that, is a player. BUSH WARRIOR (10) comes back 100m for today. Is hard fit on this surface which does help. SON OF HEROIC (16) has not done much but his best has come on affected ground. SHE'S ENUFF (8) gets some winkers and should be up on the pace. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ostracised the bet. |

THOMAS NOBLE RUSSELL ACCOUNTANTS BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Fast tempo likely from Odette's Orchids going forward from out wide, with Aye Eye Boom joining in. CONFEDERATE LADY (5) has done little wrong in her career. The wet track won't harm her hopes at all. She will just need some luck early from this awkward barrier. AYE EYE BOOM (4) will be on the leaders here and if that becomes the pattern of the day, it could be advantageous. She draws well and then it becomes will she run the trip. BEAUTY EIGHT (3) has a terrible barrier but usually shows pace so they may roll the dice. Is dropping back significantly in distance here. WONDERLAND STAR (2) is a real wildcard. She has had two trials and could be charging home. Just the track may not suit. ODETTE'S ORCHIDS (7) resumes and will be crossing over. SUGGESTED PLAY: Confederate Lady is hard fit and ready to win. |
