NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:37 GRANTHAM'S HORSE TRANSPORT MAIDEN 1400m
Fair Grace to take up the running at a moderate tempo. ENORME (8) made her debut in the city at Belmont well over a year ago and had a couple of trials in May before joining a stable that would place her more suitably in the country. She resumes over 1400 metres which suggests she has done the necessary lead-up work and she is the one to beat in this. MONTY ZOOMER (1) has changed stables since his last run at Bunbury where he failed to fire. He will find this easier and the extra 300 metres on offer will also do him no harm. A close market watch is advised. SLAVICA (4) had to go too far last time out when resuming on this track and should be able to secure the run of the race here from a much better draw in the pole position. Stick with her in a field that lacks any real depth of form. FAIR GRACE (5) has had no luck with her draws recently and finally lands a good gate here. The blinkers are on for the first time and with the benefit of a 2-kilo claim, she can run into the money for the first time in her career. Each-way value.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Fair Grace each-way.
2 01:07 STOCKYARD STOCK SUPPLIES HANDICAP 1000m
Solid tempo expected primarily from Rakiura and Ain't I A Woman. HEARTFORD HOUSE (3) joined the local Rick Evans stable at the start of the year and resumed with a win here in June and was third also on this track a fortnight later. He has settled in nicely to his new surroundings and should be hard to hold out again. ORTUM KRISP (2) was a beaten favourite over 1400 metres here 3 weeks ago and may be better suited to the sprint trips for now. The blinkers are back on and she is worth another chance. Follow your money. MADAME PRO (5) has not had much luck from wide draws in 2 runs since winning here before that. She gets a big swing in the draws this time and with a handy 2-kilo claim, she should bounce back into the money. MRS KANGAROO (7) finds it hard to win but is seldom far from the action. She has senior hoop Chris Nicoll in the irons this time and he could coax that little bit more out of her where it matters most. Can win.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Madam Pro each-way.
3 01:45 RAY WHITE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT HANDICAP 1200m
Plenty of pace evident with Talkaboutyou and Bitovemu leading the way from Moorumbine and Mantelli. MIR (1) won here fresh up and then should have won his last start on this track as well after that but was held up at a vital stage when launching his final bid. He has senior hoop Alan Kennedy in the irons this time and should again be the one to beat. MOORUMBINE (3) has a handy record on this track and is ready to hit his peak fitness third-up after a couple of sound efforts on this track to open his current campaign. A good draw will help and he is set to put his best hoof forward in this. TINY'N'TUFF (7) changed stables earlier in the year and after a good run for third here fresh up, she was back in winning form last time out 3 weeks ago when arriving just in time to score by a neck. She is still very well placed in the weights after a claim and from a superior gate, she can win again. BITOVEMU (5) is an honest veteran who capped off some sound form to win at her first attempt on this circuit 3 weeks ago. An extra furlong is no problem and she can figure in the finish again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mir to win.
4 02:24 CORAL COAST VETERINARY HOSPITAL HANDICAP 1200m
Solid tempo with Ebony's Ace possessing the dash to work to the lead. DRAGONFLIES (3) is a relatively lightly tried veteran gelding who progressed steadily this prep and broke through for his first win here nearly 5 weeks ago. He won't find this much harder and now that the penny has finally dropped, he can go on with the job. WAR TACTICS (4) changed stables earlier in the year and after finishing third fresh up he improved quickly to break his maiden status here 3 weeks ago. He is still on the up and with a 1.5 kilo claim, he can repeat the dose. LOOK HERE PUNK (1) has changed stables since failing to measure up at Northam last time out just over 3 weeks ago. He is at the right level now and is capable of a top 3 finish. CLASSADO (6) did not fire last start after racing very keenly during the run and his trainer felt that he resented the blinkers that day. He has them removed for this assignment and if he can repeat his fresh-up effort for second, he can take this out. Stick with him on an each-way basis.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dragonflies each-way.
5 03:05 RAY WHITE CARNARVON HANDICAP 1400m
Genuine tempo from Wuhan Warrior leading Who's Your Mama. WUHAN WARRIOR (2) has really mixed his form this prep and seems to win when he is not fancied in the markets. He had no excuses as a beaten favourite here 3 weeks ago but is just as liable to turn his form right around and win this. The step up to 1400 metres could help and if he is in the right mood, he is the one to beat. WHO'S YOUR MAMA (3) dropped back in class last time out on this track and got the job done at long odds. That was only her second start for a new trainer and she will still be on the up with her fitness. She prefers to race in the clear on these tracks to avoid any track kick-back and another good run is on the cards. Stick with her. PASSPORT (1) has a very good record on this track, including 3 wins. He has needed both of his starts back from a spell and will be at his peak third up. He slides down in class and with the benefit of a 2-kilo claim, he will be hard to hold out. TOMMY TO JACK (6) is expected to run another honest race. Include in all combinations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Passport each-way.
6 03:40 TREMOR EARTH MOVING HANDICAP 1600m
Crystal Vain and Townsville have sufficient early speed to position at the head of the field. CRYSTAL VAIN (1) has won 3 of his 5 starts this prep and is building a very good record in the country, including his last start win at this level on this track by over 4 lengths. He tries a mile for the first time but gets to remain in the same class and only has to cope with an extra 2-kilos to be the one to beat again. MULTINOVA MAN (4) needed his fresh-up run here at the start of June and then improved quickly to score here over this trip 3 weeks ago. He did the hard way off a wide trip last time out and if he can secure a softer trip in transit, he could well double the dose. HAFEY (2) has yet to run a bad race in this campaign and was third behind the top pick in the same race last start. He won't mind the step up to a mile and meets that runner better off at the weights this time. He is quite capable of turning the tables here. SET THE SCENE (6) loves it here and was a winner by neck on this track 3 starts back and has been runner-up twice since then. Each-way claims again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Crystal Vain to win.
