VIGENERE (4) finished second two back in a steeplechase (2750m) at this track then again ran a good race to finish second last time out, beaten 2.5 lengths, in a steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Ideally placed to take this out. Grade 3 placegetter OMEGA RICH MAN (3) was very good when returning from a layoff most recently, saluting by 1.5 lengths in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo. Further improvement in store. HEART OF A CITY (5) is a accomplished jumper who in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin two starts back. Turned things around last start when he got the money by 5 lengths in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Must be included. PERCUSSION (14) resumes today for a new stable and is already a winner over the obstacles. Hasn't raced since finishing seventh in a steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Anticipating a bright start to the campaign.

LOULOU FEUILLE (2) is yet to break through after seven career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Tokyo Dirt two starts back before finishing fourth over 1600m at the same venue last start. Finds a nice race and this might be her day. SAGE GREEN (15) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. Fitter for two runs back from a break. Can measure up. SELOUS (6) finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1800m at Niigata Dirt, beaten 2.5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. J L JETTY (11) finished 11 lengths from the winner in fourth at her most recent outing over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes.

RED LIGHTNING (13) has been in the betting recently but hasn't managed to break through. Most recently finished eighth over 1400m at Tokyo, beaten 2.75 lengths. Has ability and deserves another chance. DAINTY BESS (1) has not raced since he finished sixth over 2000m at Nakayama on February 24. Lightly raced colt open to plenty of improvement this time in work. DAIGO RYUJIN (2) raced below his best last time when seventh over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt, beaten 5.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Best figures measure up nicely. Can make amends. KAMAKURA BAKUFU (10) last raced when seventh over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt on March 31. Worth noting that he opened the last campaign with a minor placing at Nakayama Dirt over 1800m. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. In the mix.

MEINER COLUMBUS (3) missed the frame two back in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Turned things around last time to finish third, beaten 5 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo. Sure to prove hard to beat. Grade 3 placegetter VATRENI (2) has been mixing his form this preparation over the jumps. In the placings when resuming then finished 13 lengths from the winner last time in seventh in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Hard to fault on his best form. TEN MAJOR GIRL (7) could only manage to finish seventh 55 days back in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. That result was on the back of a solid third in a maiden steeplechase (2750m) at this track two starts ago. Sure to be thereabouts. ALMA DORADO (13) returns after a break having switched stables. Has ability and should be wound up for this. Sure to make his presence felt.

LORD WELT (9) is on debut for the Mitsunori Makiura stable. Two-year-old colt by Lord Kanaloa from Natural Style. Should hit the ground running. Watch for positive market moves. FARIZA (3) is a first-starter by Just A Way from Lulla who has been a prolific producer including winners at black type level. Sure to be well-educated, being from the Naoto Chiba yard. Promising type who is one to keep a close eye on in betting. VALIANT MARCH (1) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Toru Hayashi. By Big Arthur from Victory March. Expect a bold run. ECORO JADE (4) is appearing for the first time. By Red Falx and hails from the Kazuo Konishi stable. Watch the market closely.

DELTA WAVE (5) is a two-year-old filly by Leontes out of New Wave stepping out on debut for the Shota Nishizono stable. Should measure up. Keep a close eye on betting. LITTLE SOMETHING (3) is on debut for the Nonaka stable. Two-year-old colt by Real Steel from Flying Nimbus. Looks a definite contender, particularly if the money comes. NISHINO KENTAMAN (1) is a two-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Masashi Fukayama. By Apollo Kentucky from Otemba Runner. Watch for a betting push. SCERA VENUS (2) is on debut. SATONO RUTILE (6) resumes from a spell of 12 weeks. Could only manage to finish fourth at the latest run over 2000m at Nakayama. Came home powerfully to grab second over this trip at her only onther start. Looks the one to beat. GREAT SPIRIT (13) returned last time with a solid third at Tokyo over 1600m after being prominent at the bend. That was a massive improvement on what we saw last prep. Big chance to crack the maiden win. PALO SANTO (3) was below her best last time when seventh over 1800m at Tokyo, beaten 8 lengths. Nicely placed to bounce back. ASHBERG (12) is a superbly bred three-year-old filly lining up for the first time. By Satono Diamond from Always Willing who has produced some fine gallopers, including Shanon Adela at Grade 1 level. Looks one of the better chances despite a tricky draw.

IMMORTAL BIRD (4) finished third when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. On-pacer who is perfectly drawn and should be tough to beat. SPRAY FALL (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when fourth over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt four weeks ago after being prominent at the bend. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. LORD REVERENCE (14) is back from a spell of 12 weeks. Scored a determined win at his final run last preparation at Nakayama Dirt over 1800m. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. PONSAN (2) finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt when he made late ground, beaten 3.5 lengths. Ready to go a couple better.

HEILAND (8) started warm favourite and registered his first win last start over 2400m at Niigata, getting home by 0.8 lengths. Nicely placed to double the win tally. WHITE BEACH (2) was safely held when fifth last start over 2400m at Tokyo, beaten 4.5 lengths. That followed a good first-up win at Niigata. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. HAGINO KA NOA (3) was never in contention last time over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt when he finished fourth, beaten 5 lengths. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes. REY DE LA LUZ (7) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on April 20 finishing sixth and beaten 4 lengths over 2300m at Tokyo. Comes here with definite top-three claims.

EVER CHARDONNAY (6) resumed four weeks ago over 1800m at Kyoto and was only beaten 1.5 lengths into sixth after being prominent at the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. IL CIRCO (5) built on a nice third when fresh from a spell two starts back at Nakayama with success over 1800m at Tokyo seven weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough to score again. PSIPSINA (14) is a talented filly who tackled a tougher race at her last run on April 7 and finished seventh behind Tagano Elpida over 2000m at Hanshin. Finds the right race to make her mark. RAGGIO (4) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 2.5 lengths away in sixth over 2000m at Nakayama on December 10. Has two wins to her name when fresh from a spell. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Can feature in the finish.

PROSPERIDAD (7) is back at the races for the first time since April 6. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1200m at Nakayama. Comes here with definite claims. KITANO EXPRESS (3) has enjoyed a let-up of seven weeks since he won when resuming over 1200m at Kyoto, scoring by 1.3 lengths. Will be better for that latest run and he is a major player again. ASHAKA TAKA (1) comes here off a break of ten weeks. Scored over 1200m at Chukyo at the start of last prep. Worth plenty of thought. WIN MONARCH (9) was beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth at the second run back from a break over 1400m at Tokyo six weeks ago. Nicely placed to find some form.

NEVER LET YOU GO (5) returns from a layoff of six-and-a-half months. Filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Should be hard to stop. SERIEL (1) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. Looking to emulate her win at Nakayama Dirt when returning from a spell last prep. Looks a winning chance. HOLY BRIGHT (7) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a spell on March 24, finishing 12th and beaten 7 lengths over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race on her best form. SMART OLIVE (9) last appeared when fourth over 1150m at this track 12 weeks ago. One to consider.
