NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:45 XXXX GOLD MAIDEN PLATE 1600m
Solid pace from Relentless Ruby early on. RELENTLESS RUBY (11) had a couple of starts in Victoria to open this prep before joining the Scone stable of Brett Cavanough where she has had another 2 starts, finishing third at Tamworth 10 days being her best effort yet this term. She is perfectly placed from a superior gate here and should be the hardest to beat this time. HOT GOSPEL (10) is another ex-Victorian having just her third start in NSW and she put the writing on the wall when finishing second at Dubbo last time out. The key here is top country jockey Aaron Bullock picking up the ride and she is the main threat to the top pick. DEEBUZ (8) just bottled last start and was already looking for more ground on that occasion. She steps up quickly to a mile third up and can bounce straight back into the money here. Each way value. DESCENDING MIST (2) was much better last time out when fourth and is now ready to put his best hoof forward.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Relentless Ruby to win.
2 01:20 MANNION DRILLING COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000m
Comma Hut can lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. SUNYANI (12) has been trying to break through for some time and may have found the right race here. She kicked on strongly to hold fourth at Tamworth last time out, finishing just over a length from the winner. With some luck from a tricky gate, she can get the job done this time. REBEL LOVE (11) has needed both of her runs back from a spell and had no chance at Dubbo last time out when having a very tough trip. She cops another wide gate but if she can slot in and find a spot closer to the fence, she can figure in the finish. Stick with her on an each-way basis. COOMA HUT (1) was sent out as a prohibitive favourite on debut at Moree and after missing the jump, he couldn't get into the race. He will be better for the experience and more importantly, he has Aaron Bullock in the irons. Follow your money. WHISTLING STRAITS (7) next best and should be right in the finish with the natural improvement that is expected second up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Cooma Hut each way.
3 01:55 H & M REFRIGERATION MAIDEN HANDICAP 1300m
Rose Basket, Showtime Sassy and Ellro to battle for the early lead at a slick tempo. SHOWTIME SASSY (10) has been showing some more fight in her races lately and has been leading up before being run down in the final stretch. She was under a length from the winner at Tamworth 10 days ago when finishing third and is poised to take them all the way this time. RED DUSTER (2) was second when resuming at Wyong and then fourth at Newcastle 9 days ago. She drops in country class for her third start in NSW and with the benefit of the pole position, she will be very hard to hold out. FULL COMMITMENT (8) has yet to run a bad race in 4 career starts and hit the line strongly at Quirindi for third, albeit nearly 9 weeks ago. A 2-kilo claim will help and she can't be ruled out of winning this. The markets will be your best guide to her chances. CRAFTY KRUMPET (4) is mixing her form and is not helping herself with some bad manners in the barriers. When she puts it all together, she can get a slice of the finish here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Red Duster each way.
4 02:35 GOODNESS AND GRACIOUS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1000m
Sizzling pace from the outset from Western Eagle, Rinnero locking horns ahead of Cumboogle and Powerstone. KEITANY (13) is another ex-Victorian who has 3 starts in NSW last prep earlier in the year for one win. She has the advantage of the pole position for her fresh-up run and will be ready to rumble with a recent trial under her belt. A market watch is advised. WESTERN EAGLE (3) only won his debut by a nose at a Walgett picnic meeting 16 days ago but will be improved by that experience and should measure up in this. Stick with him. HERCULES MORSE (5) was an overdue maiden winner when ending his last prep on a high at Tamworth at the start of the year. He will be a lot stronger this prep and can give this a shake fresh up. CALAMITY FOX (2) has changed stables since last racing and is worthy of consideration.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Hercules Morse each way.
5 03:10 COURTHOUSE HOTEL COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1600m
Plenty of speed runners engaged, with Valadyium and Mellencamp prominent. CHOICE WITNESS (6) was a good winner 2 starts back at Muswellbrook and then stuck to her task gamely for fifth off a tough trip at Scone last time out nearly 3 weeks ago. The step up to a mile will suit her but she does cop another wide barrier and will need some early luck. She is still good enough to take this out. OUTBACK CRUMPET (11) was a beaten favourite last time out at Dubbo on a track that was heavier than she preferred. She will be peaking third up and the mile will now suit her. Stick with her and follow your money. CHARLOTTING (5) did not finish her run off as well as expected last time out but was hard up along the rails and it wasn't really the place to be that day. Her form prior is the better guide and she is expected to bounce back quickly. Each way value. MELLENCAMP (15) did not fire last start but did have a very tough run that day. He gets a big swing in the draws and if the fence is the place to be, then he should put his best hoof forward this time.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mellencamp each way.
6 03:50 COOL BLUE ICE CURLEWIS CUP BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1400m
The speedy Musical Affair should find the front early on. INDIFFERENCE (1) has been well beaten in both of his starts back from a spell but they have been in city class fields and he should notice the drop in class for his third up assignment. He has to carry 63 kilos but should still have most of his rivals covered on ability alone. Stick with him. On top. MUSICAL AFFAIR (8) is mixing her form wildly lately and was run down after leading at Narromine last time out. She has a much better draw this time and won't be using lack of fitness as an excuse. She is worth another chance and will take some pegging back. BARELLAN BANDIT (2) is a very handy performer at this level and had his first run for a new trainer at Randwick on their Kenso track nearly 10 weeks ago and ended up being disqualified. He has a good gate and is too good to drop just yet. Include in all combinations to be safe. TOUGH CASE (11) is nicely placed at the weights and another honest effort can be expected.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Indifference to win.
7 04:25 ULTRA FLEET BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Plenty of early pressure with Alaskan Aura leading the charge. SIR FREDDIE (4) is a handy gelding who has made a bright start to his campaign and was third at Moe just over a fortnight ago on a heavy track. That form should stack up nicely for his new trainer Jeremy Sylvester who normally gets immediate returns from similar types. Aaron Bullock in the saddle is a strong lead and he is the one to beat. SUNDAY BELL (7) franked his solid fresh-up performance for fourth at Tamworth with a nose win at Scone nearly 3 weeks ago. He is still on the up and can go right on with the job now. EMPHATIC BEL (5) is resuming at her right level after ending her last campaign in some stronger provincial class fields. She has only missed a cheque once when fresh up and can give this line-up a shake at good each-way value. JUST JACKY (6) drops back to a sprint trip after his last run at Coffs Harbour a month ago. Expect an improved effort from the pole position.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Emphatic Bel each-way.
