NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:42 DAVID, PAUL AND PETER HYNES Maiden Plate 1500m
Strong tempo with Among Us, Duma and Beasticon leading the way. AMONG US (1) has had a few chances but only narrowly went down here last time out and will be rock-hard fit for this. Looms as the main danger. FIRST TO MARS (20) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and will find this easier than recent efforts. In the mix. LOOK AT ROSA (10) is usually thereabouts and is in the mix again along with BEASTICON (4) who has performed well fresh in the past and has been readied with two trials so is one for the multiples.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Playing the exotics around 1,20,10 and 4.
2 12:17 BILL KEENAN Class 3 Handicap 1200m
Cracking early tempo with Freckle Rock and First Peoples leading the way. BOSTON CITY (5) broke through here last time out and will have derived a bunch of confidence from that victory. Draws the inside alley and is sure to play a major role in the outcome. DISCERNING (10) is having her first run for the new stable and any market support should be noted. CELESTIAL HARBOUR (6) has placed around this circuit and may earn some minor money with any luck in running. HANG FIVE (2) races well at this distance and has claims off a win three back at Sunshine Coast.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boston City to win.
3 12:52 RAY HILDRED Maiden Handicap 1200m
Genuine pace with Happy Rainbow taking up the running ahead of Just Never Enough and Hollywood Epic. HOLLYWOOD EPIC (1) is unlucky to still be a maiden with two runner-up finishes to start the career and this is not an overly strong affair. Guthmann-Chester sticks in the irons and looks nicely placed to break the maiden status here. The well-related WHATTA WHITT (12) (half to G3 winner and G2 placed Lovemelikearock) strips fitter third-up from the spell, draws low and gets in well at the weights with the claim. Ticks a few boxes. POW NOW (8) disappointed first-up but go on the solid second before the spell. Can bounce right back to form now. A SIP FOR SLIPPY (7) should appreciate the step-up to 1200m and may trouble the judge from the favourable draw. JUST NEVER ENOUGH (9) next in line in a race with only a handful of chances.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Hollywood Epic to break through.
4 01:27 WARWICK PRESSED METALS Maiden Handicap 1200m
Expecting Sunfyre to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. CHOCKABLOCK (3) has hit the frame in all four outings this preparation and draws low with the claim. Race fit now and has the hoof on the till. Likely to prove tough to hold out. NEWSBEAT (4) put in a career best effort last time and gets Collett in the saddle. Top-three contender with natural improvement likely. Former Victorian BAUHAUS (2) showed glimpses of ability down south and should have matured since then so may run a race while fresh. SUNFYRE (11) rounds out the selections.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Chockablock to win.
5 02:04 PETER & JOHN WALSH RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1350m
Genuine tempo from Tee Amici leading Ashigaru.  LIVINGSTONES (4) has a handy record over this journey with a win and three placings from eight attempts and is drawn to get a cosy run in transit from gate two. Gets 2kg weight relief with the claim and should be right there at the business end. TEE AMICI (7) wasn't too far off them at Kilcoy last time out and will be rock-hard fit for this. Well placed here and can play a prominent role in the finish. ALPINE LADY (3) has hit a bit of form of late and Cormack sticks in the stirrups. In the mix. SPIRIT OF BEANS (1) grows a leg for Tilley who has three wins from just four steers. Can run a race while fresh. PERSIAN FRONT (14) has placed over this track and trip and looks one for the exotics players.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 4,7,3,1.
6 02:42 MAREE WALKER RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1350m
Slick tempo with Palatial Prince to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest.  PALATIAL PRINCE (1) has hit the top-four in all four runs this campaign and looks to be nearing another victory. Will be at peak fitness now and shapes as the hardest to toss. IMPERIONESS (6) was a touch plain at the latest effort but the form prior was full of merit. Worth another chance. COLD ONE (2) resumes here but revved up for this with a recent Gold Coast trial placing. Can run a race while fresh. MISHANI PHAROAH (15) has placed over this track and trip and gets in very light with the claim. A big run would not surprise. DUCHESS OF MILAN (10) next in line.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Palatial Prince to salute.
7 03:17 BASIL NOLAN SNR QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1350m
Good early pressure for top spot with Epic Flash or Born Fearless likely to take up the running. IT'SMEMARIO (2) got the chocolates at Toowoomba last time out and will have derived some confidence from that victory. Winning hoop Zechner stays on board and should prove tough to hold out again. MISS MIRIAM (7) broke the maiden status at Ipswich at the latest effort and must be respected from the Bruce camp. Can go back-to-back. ADIELLA (3) hasn't done much wrong with two wins and a placing from just three outings to commence the career and cannot be discounted. JENNI MOREESE (9) is a last-start winner who only needs some luck from the carpark draw to feature in the finish. EPIC FLASH (4) best of the rest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: It'smemario to win again.
8 03:57 PETER & JUNE STEWART BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1200m
Strong early tempo assured with Stormtrooper and Gidget locking horns. LADY WAIRUA (16) doesn't win out of turn but has been right in the mix in recent outings and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Should appreciate the extra furlong here and rates as the one they all have to catch. STORMTROOPER (5) is a two-time winner around this circuit and has been racing in a rich vein of form of late. Has to be considered. GIDGET (8) is one from one over this course and distance and gets some weight relief with the 2kg claim. Top-three credentials. HUSSON'S REVENGE (2) has placed around this circuit and is another to get some weight relief. In the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Wairua to win.
9 04:34 MERVYN WILLIAMS Class 1 Handicap 1500m
Carrefour and New Maher can push forward early. GAELIC THUNDER (7) is another to shed the maiden tag last start and the extra furlong here looks ideal. Evans sticks in the saddle and looms as the main danger. The penny has dropped for SHOTGUN SIXTYFOUR (5) who has strung two wins together on the bounce. Gets 2kg off and it's hard to ignore mares in form. NEW MAHER (1) next a major player with the aid of the favourable draw while ALREADY BETTER (2) drops in grade from the city and has claims off a maiden win two starts back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Gaelic Thunder to salute.
