ESAGRAMMA (9) was beaten 9 lengths into seventh over 1400m at Kanazawa a month ago. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.

BEQUEST (1) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 5 lengths away in third over 1500m at Urawa. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is right in contention. STRAIGHT DANDY (6) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1800m at this track, beaten just 1.5 lengths. Suitably placed so he can figure again.

Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. ROSE PERIOD (7) did a great job to score by 1.5 lengths over today's course and distance last start in a far better run. Likely to be there at the finish again. KITASAN ELPIS (8) is ready to win after another minor placing last start, finishing second over 1500m at this track. Right in this.

HIGHESTEND (8) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race when he made late ground and finished 5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 2000m at Ohi. Has raced four times here and has never missed the frame. Akira Harita gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. WAGANSE (1) returns after a spell of three-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1600m at Kawasaki. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
