NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:55 LAKE MACQUARIE CARPET CLEANING SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 900m
Solid tempo likely from the outset with a number of speedy beginners engaged, most notably Rare Moon and Party Prophet. RARE MOON (11) was solid in a midfield debut and that form line has stood up since. Should find an improving track and with race experience can find a few lengths. Go close. RIDE THE RIVER (8) showed talent in a two-start debut campaign and resumes over a quick pinch trip. Has trialled twice of late and looks sure to be prominent from the outset. GLISTENING PEARL (9) has been close up in both trials and is a stylishly bred type. This is not an overly strong line-up so expect a competitive debut showing. PARTY PROPHET (10) failed on debut at Scone but did win a recent trial in good style. Ideally drawn to post a better result first up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rare Moon win.
2 12:30 KEEP LOOKING WHEN COOKING MIDWAY BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1850m
Genuine tempo with Dreamdeel to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. KARMAZONE (5) has produced much better at his past two outings when settling well back over similar trips. Rock hard fit and best form would take this out. Serious claims. CHATEAUX PARK (4) didn't have a lot of luck in latest effort and should appreciate the bigger track. Consistent galloper who handles all conditions. DREAMDEEL (2) backs up quickly off a brave runner-up effort at this venue last week. Puts himself into the race from the get-go and fitness no issue. Close to a win now at a suitable trip. MCGEEHAN (3) is mixing his form of late but does drop back in grade off latest city contest. Looks set to peak after three runs back in a suitable grade of race.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Karmazone each-way.

Many of these step out for the first time so a frantic pace is likely early on over this sharp journey. HOWLER (13) had specking on debut at Canterbury and worked home hard for third. From the rails draw holds a strong hand with race experience now on her side. BITTEN BY BARRY (5) has done plenty right in two trials and respect the stable decision to debut at this type of trip. Despite a tricky draw is worth following here. MANOS (3) was close up on debut over a shorter trip after two handy trial efforts prior to that. With added fitness can improve further. GIRRAWHEEN (12) was an impressive debut winner at Dubbo. This is tougher but she looks to shoulder her share of ability and is worth including.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Howler gets the slight nod.
4 01:40 LAKE MACQUARIE CARPET CLEANING PROVINCIAL 3YO&UP MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Plenty of early pace from Kervette, Ramius and Irradiance primarily. RAMIUS (4) has serious credentials first up aided by a soft draw. Showed talent last campaign and two recent trials have been close up efforts. Pay to follow now. KERVETTE (2) is headed for longer trips but has the right form to sprint well fresh. Placed in a recent trial and expected to race handy. Genuine claims in this line up. THAIBEEFSALADE (12) was only getting warm late first up and she did run some cracking races last campaign. Second up must consider. SHARPEN THE KNIVES (3) boxed on well enough first up after some smart trials prior. Slight query at a longer trip but still has enough upside to rate strongly here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ramius each-way.
5 02:20 AHA NEWCASTLE MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Warhol has enough early dash to run them along. WIPEOUT (9) profiles as a major player after three close up efforts in city races to date. Worked home well in latest and stays at a similar trip. Nicely placed to breakthrough. MAJOR LOOK (5) was disappointing in latest but first up run was an eye catcher. Racing like this trip should suit and gets in with a kilo less. Worth another chance. ALTAIR I AM (2) drifted well back first up over a shorter trip but was beaten less than three lengths. Despite a poor draw looks open to sharp improvement here. REGGAE FIRE (6) resumed in fine style before just battling away second up. Stable has held off on wet tracks in recent weeks and draws nice and neat now. Genuine threat third up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Wipeout win. Box quinella 5, 9, 2.
6 03:00 COASTAL FIRE SERVICES CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400m
Moderate tempo headed by Kenyan Charm. FIOPROSPERO (5) was brave first up with a big weight and will try to get past a wide draw here with five kilos less. Suited at this trip and proved his mettle last campaign. Right in this. EXCEED PERFECTION (4) is a consistent colt racing in great heart since resuming. Proven at this type of trip and will be fully lit up on the speed from the outset. Tough to go past. IMPOSANT (6) chased gamely into the frame when resuming here as favourite last start. Improvement to come and is among the key chances. TAKE ME TO CHURCH (3) was scratched at the gates when going to jump a firm favourite at Goulburn eight days ago. Was a smart winner on debut last campaign and looks a serious hope off that performance alone. Don't take lightly.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Fioprospero each-way.
7 03:35 NEWCASTLE BATHROOMS CONDITIONAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1400m
Norton Road has enough early dash to run them along. NANSHE (10) worked home solidly last time out and has good numbers at this type of trip. Fitness no issue and the promise of a firmer tracks plays in her favour. Winning claims. ALL MACHIAVELLIAN (6) looked a bit unlucky last start and the form out of his win two starts back has been franked since. Hard to catch type but racing very well this time in. LALAGUNA (13) will start at long odds but has been well back in recent runs over shorter trips. Much better suited at this trip and third up can improve sharply. NORTON ROAD (5) next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Nanshe to win.
8 04:10 ONLY WORKNG SMOKE ALARMS SAVES LIVES BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1200m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Lonrioli leading the way. FIELD WIRI (11) does his best racing fresh and scored a big trial win recently. Ideally suited at this track and trip and capable of having the final say. THERE THERE (13) has been freshened since a train wreck result in city grade last start and finds a breathe-easy draw. Likes this trip and could easily bob up in a wide-open affair. CAPITAL HEART (4) mixed it in some genuine races last campaign and has looked up to the mark in two recent trials. Despite a poor draw can have a major influence. UNSTOPABULL (7) is building a solid overall record and justified market support to win last start in similar grade. Rises two kilos but still a genuine hope. CEASEFIRE (1) has a cracking fresh record and looked good in a recent trial hit out. Drawn the carpark but with an ounce of luck can feature in the finish.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Field Wiri each-way.
