ALWAYS SHINING (3) ran ninth at this track last start after having placed in his three previous starts. Looks well placed to return to form. TERIYAKI (5) finished fourth of 13 last start at Greyville over 1200m last start. Has each-way claims. |

MAGIC HAT TRICK (10) showed very good improvement when third over 2200m on the turf last time. The manner in which he ran on at the finish that day was encouraging. Serino Moodley is likely to settle him near the rear of the field from the wide draw and he will be storming home late. FIRE FORCE (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2200m at Greyville, beaten 1.5 lengths into sixth. Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and there should be improvement to come. ANIMAL IMPACT (8) made progress last time out, finishing second of 10 over 1700m at this track. Has his share of ability and looks hard to beat. RAINWATER (7) remains a maiden after three runs. Was well in commission last time but could only manage to finish sixth over 1600m at this track. Likely to be in the finish in this suitable assignment. |

CONVOCATION (8) is a talented filly who was well held last time in tougher grade over 1200m at Scottsville. Has a high cruising speed and has solid each-way claims. Has a good record here at this journey with four wins and a minor placing from seven starts. Keep safe. |

PIRATE PRINCE (11) was not disgraced when fifth of 12 over 2400m last start. He has won three times, finished second once and third once from nine starts on this course. He is the class horse in this contest and with luck in running may be hard to peg back. WILLOW'S WISH (7)
has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most. MAGICAL FLIGHT (9) is better than her last start over 1500m on the Turffontein Inside course would suggest. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from six starts on this course. She is likely to race up on the speed and should give the males a decent run for their money. LINGANOMORE (8) is backing up quickly after finishing in the money at Turffontein Inside over 1800m just seven days ago. Nice run last time and should be figuring in the finish. |

WYZEACT (4) has good recent form lines to his credit. He set the pace over 1400m at the Vaal last time, but was outrun late. He won his only attempt on this course, four starts back and looks well placed here to return to winning form. LUCKY DOLLAR (2) stayed on well when second over this distance on the turf last time. He won his penultimate start over this course and distance and is one of the leading contenders. WILLOW EXPRESS (7) got the upper hand late when winning his last start over 1400m at Scottsville. He is well suited to this course and he merits healthy respect. GIAMBATTISTA (9) turned in another moderate effort last start when 6 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1400m at this track. Suitably placed and has top-three claims. |

MRS GERIATRIX (4) ran a decent race when finishing second of 10 over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is the best-weighted runner in this contest and can return to winning form. LAGUNA VERDE (8) showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1400m at the Vaal. He raced from a handy position, moved up but was caught late. He is the stable elect with Craig Zackey aboard and should prove hard to beat. PLAYER (7) was safely held when fourth last time out over 1900m at Greyville All Weather That followed a win at Turffontein Inside at the previous outing. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. NOBLE CITY (3) finished ninth last start, beaten 6 lengths at this track over 1800m. Comes here with definite each-way claims. |
