Always plenty of early pressure in sprint races such as this with a large representation of first starters. SILENT ALERT (3) is a lightly raced 3yo gelding who resumed with an encouraging run at Benalla over 1106m, boxing on gamely for second. Finds a very winnable race here and should go close to breaking through. WHITSON (10) has had two runs back from a spell with a trial win in between. He was okay in a strong race at Ballarat first up but just even as favourite at Echuca. 2yo's against the older horses this time of year can be profitable. BABY BUETI (1) is a gelding by Impending on debut. John Allen booked to ride is a good lead. Keep safe. CROATIAN ART (6) has been sound at her past two and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Silent Alert to win.
