TOO MUCH MAKEUP (9) won his Maiden at Watrwick and was good there following before being outraged at Ipswich. Presents on the quick backup and is well-placed to bounce back. CRYPTIC VERSE (11) resumed at Warwick in good order and then lost the rider at Eagle Farm at long odds. Better suited today and can get back on track.JACKIEDOWNTHELINE (12) found more like her best winning her Maiden at Warwick and will be better for it. She won't have to improve much to be in the finish. ALPINE LADY (6) resumes and has switched from a NSW barn. She's good enough and owns a Beaudesert trial win. The gate is awkward but keep safe. SILVANNA'S SONG (10) brings big wins from non-TABS at Roma. Keeps the 4kg claim but will need a good ride from the cruel gate. That's the niggle. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Too Much Makeup.
