FIXED STAR (3) turned in a nice run last time to finish third over 1300m at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. CHAMPION ACE (7) is still a maiden after five runs. Was popular in betting last time out but didn't live up to market expectations, finishing fourth over 1300m at this track. Well placed on this occasion and gets her chance to break the ice. HAWK BITS (1) started at $4.60 last time and ran below expectations, finishing eighth here over 1300m. Nicely placed to bounce back. TAISEI FAMOUS (2) went forward last time but couldn't quicken in the run home and finished fifth over 1300m at this track. Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.
