Plenty of pace evident with Saharant Asia and Artigianale leading the way from Espressivo and Modern Fringe. SAHARANT ASIA (9) produced a reasonable effort when fourth last start after being in the firing line on the bend over 850m at Mizusawa, beaten 2 lengths. That followed a win at Mizusawa the start prior. Finds a tougher race but a better run will not surprise. MODERN FRINGE (5) finished 4 lengths away in second last time out at Mizusawa. On a six-day back-up. Nice run last time and will be hard to beat. ANTWERPEN (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was eighth in a 1400m contest at Mizusawa two weeks ago. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. ARTIGIANALE (2) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when finishing seventh over 1600m at Mizusawa. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
