Strong early tempo with Ecoro Maverick and Magma Ocean leading the way over Jun Tsubamegaeshi. JUN TSUBAMEGAESHI (1) wound up strongly last time out to finish 0.8 lengths adrift in second over 2200m at Kyoto. Should camp just off the leaders. Sure to be in the finish. Grade 2 placegetter TIMUR (9) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 14 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 2000m at Fukushima, beaten 4.5 lengths. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish. FOR GOOD (5) finished third last time over 2200m at Chukyo when resuming from a spell, beaten 6 lengths. Nicely placed to go a couple better. GROOVE BEAT (8) was okay at the latest effort when eighth over 2400m at Hanshin after being handy for much of the way. Well placed and can fill a top-three spot.
