Good early pressure for top spot with Captain Rogers or So Likable likely to take up the running. SO LIKABLE (5) disappointed most recently, but he steps out to the mile now where he's proven to be effective in the past. Faithfull has won 3/8 when partnering the gelding and she hops back onboard today, replacing the apprentice. May need some luck from the draw but if he'll take beating if he gets the splits. IT'S A LANCE (2) is hard to knock on recent performances after sitting on the speed and holding on for a narrow win as favourite here 24 days ago. Stable seem to have worked him out now and if he can run up to his recent form, he'll be right in the finish. ONEMOREFORLEO (6) dead-heated here last week over 1400m and steps up in trip for just the fourth time. Fiore sticking is a positive sign and if he can run out the journey he should go close to winning. KALLAROO (4) ran on strongly behind It's A Lance last start but he is 805 days without a win now. Has to be included on recent form though. CAPTAIN ROGERS (8) can go on with the job after a good win last start. SUGGESTED PLAY: So Likable gets the nod.
