Plenty of early pace on show, particularly from Blazing Light, Flag Bearer and Banzai Pipeline. WYATT'S CHOICE (6) was unlucky not to have won his last start over this course and distance as he was carried outwards at the 150m mark. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field once again and with a bit of luck in the running should go one better. BANZAI PIPELINE (3) stayed on well when finishing third of seven over 1950m at Scottsville last time. He takes a drop in class and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle he should prove hard to beat. STRAIGHT UP (4) has produced two decent comeback efforts over this course and distance. Four of his eight career victories have come over this course and distance. He will be at peak fitness and has won third-up previously. RICCARDO (7) stayed on well when finishing second of 10 over 1900m on this course last time. Rachel Venniker retains the ride and with a bit of luck from his wide draw of seven he should be finishing in the money.
