Easily one of the main if not the main highlight of the afternoon with this year's renewal of the Listed Detonator Stakes. Speed anticipated from both Bedamijo and Rosmartini. POUNAMU surprisingly chases his fourth straight win, as once considered a non-winner the son of Authorized has clearly shed that tag since transferred to the West. While only winning narrowly at Pinjarra last start, there was plenty of merit in his performance and he should have no concerns with the step up in trip. Rates clear and should prove hard to beat. Bedamijo is a noted leader and she will go forward, Rosmartini can be handy while there's not a lot of early pace from the rest. Kirov Boy takes a while to get going but usually gets onto the pace. POUNAMU is flying this time in and completed a hat-trick with a narrow win last time. Hard to fault and is the one to beat again. TONTO got very close to Pounamu first-up and will be fitter. If he reproduces that fresh performance he's a serious threat. OUTLAW PETE has been racing well over slightly more ground and coming back in distance isn't an issue. One of the chances. Falcon Crest is close to peaking and is right in this also. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Pounamu saving on Falcon Crest.
