Not a lot of speed on paper with Authentic Paddy and Watch This Space the two likely to show the way. START WONDERING is flying this campaign winning two G1 races with a nose second at the same level in between. Up to the mile this time but overpowered them late at 1400m last start and has three wins and three seconds from six tries at the trip. Small field for a G1 but full of dose of reality questions when over half this field have not won a race in their last four or fives runs extraordinarily. There is pace albeit how strong that will be is debatable with the likes of Authentic Paddy and Watch This Space not having to go hard if their riders do not want too. The top two in this by a margin have both never scored on the track before amazingly in KAWI and START WONDERING. In fact the former has been hot favourite here twice for a placing only and the latter ran one of his worst ever races here earlier in the season. They should be the quinella from the two inside stalls. Kawi has yet another riding change and incredibly has not even paid a dividend at his last four outings. SOFIA ROSA ran on well late fresh up. She looks a good trifecta place and first four hope in New Zealand. Authentic Paddy seems to run all year around. Place and first four hope too no matter the footing.
