From wide out Merrigold can slide over and set up a strong tempo. MERRIGOLD (4) had good support at Sandown last time and toughed it out well after leading. Rises in trip here but looks nicely off after the claim and should make a bold bid. RICH AND JOYFUL (12) had specking and stuck to task well at Sandown last time. Is going to find this a more suitable assignment and a forward showing is expected. ZASZOU (10) jumped from winning a maiden at Cranbourne to boxing on well in a Listed race in Adelaide last time. Is far better off here and won't be far away. NODACHI (5) was good first up and her best efforts would go close here. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Back Merrigold to win.
