MOUNT BUTLER HANDICAP 1200m Track: GOOD
Ka Ying Cheer is the likely leader at a slick tempo. KA YING CHEER (1) was tailing off toward the end of last campaign but the beginning of his debut prep was very strong. Has trialled well coming into this and he still has plenty of upside. Love the fact Bowman takes the ride this time and if he's improved in the break, he'll take plenty of beating. CHEER FOR SOUTH (11) hasn't been far away his past couple as he still looks for his maiden win. Angus Chung claims 2.5kg again and while the draw is a niggle, his recent figures are right up to what it'll take to win this event. MY INTELLIGENT (12) is on the quick back-up after a 1.3L defeat here last week. The wide draw is a little concern and he may be looking for a drop in class, but his best efforts stack up nicely in this field. He must be included. CHAMPION METHOD (4) may still have some improvement to come and he has the pace to get across from the alley. Worth respecting.
