Corniglia and Lady Gunner to take up the running at a strong tempo. CORNIGLIA (7) has put together a couple of wins at this track, the latest on April 20 over 1300m when he got home by 6 lengths. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. LADY GUNNER (8) finished fifth two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by 0.8 lengths as favourite after being in the firing line on the corner over 1300m at this track. Taking on a better field but she is worth serious consideration. HELLEBORE BLANCHE (4) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when she made late ground but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.3 lengths. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. BOUQUET OF IRIS (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can atone.
