GOING: H(8)

KIRK'S BRIDGE FARM BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1300m

Track: HEAVY 8   Rain (Max: 13)   Rail: True. (Pent: 5.8).

Downtown's Abbey and Hobbsy can lead the way. BOLD JULIUS (4) raced forward as advised to stewards and was quickly back on track beaten 1.5L at Wyong. Peaks for a leading metro barn and draws to advantage. Should go close. PROUD IMAGE (5) has been racing in stronger and was knocking on the door before the plain effort at Bathurst. Gets more weight but Collett is a key jockey switch for the apprentice and she gets through heavy ground. Hard fit and is a decent chance. CHOP THE ICE (2) resumed with a nose defeat at Albury in a CL2 and the longer sprint suits. Fitter and a decent hope if he gets through the going. DOWNTOWN'S ABBEY (10) is in an astute local stable and was too good for the Canberra Maidens third-up on the slow. Races forward and has upside. Scratched from the previous race for this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Bold Julius.
