Strong early tempo with Chapel Lane and Borlotti leading the way. LAISVAS (8) is racing in career-best form and due for a change of luck after drifting back from the wide draw when a fast finishing second over 1600m at Narromine on April 28. Down in weight and looks one of the main contenders again. VAQUERO (9) better effort at latest when stuck on well with the claim to finish third over 1610m at Orange on April 19. This is easier and looks to have genuine claims. BEG ME (7) holding his form after making it two wins from three starts this time in. Jumped in trip when a comfortable winner over 1800m at Merriwa a week-and-a-half ago. This is tougher but can play a leading role again. WEAVE THAT WEB (1) tough mare who drops sharply in class. Far from disgraced when seventh over 2110m in the Orange Cup on April 19. Carries the big weight well and looks great each-way value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 8,9,7,1.
