Very keen early battle with Sin City Belle and Grenado matching motors and there are a few others that can keep them busy. LORD FINLAND (8) went close two back at Gunnedah then whacked away for third in a bog at Taree last start over 1614m. Stepping up in grade but gets some welcomed weight relief so he looks sure to be competitive again. MISS NICOLINI (6) last appeared when an easy winner over 1500m at Narrabri on 23 March. Races well at this circuit and has a 70% top-three strike rate at the trip. Sure to give a good account. DAWN COUNTY (1) has been easily accounted for at his last couple of runs in better races. Down in grade and the blinkers go back on. Should improve sharply. HERNE HILL (3) comes here third-up after finding the line well in both runs this prep, the latest when midfield over this trip at Scone. Has been in the money 8/11 at 1400m so with added fitness he looks nicely placed to play a big role. SHEN GUI (2) had been racing well but was poor at Scone last start. Worth another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lord Finland each-way.
