Aces Up and Whisky Train will press forward early in a keen battle for top spot.
ALASKA DE LUNE (6) made an encouraging Queensland debut when finishing third fresh up at Doomben just over 3 weeks ago. She will continue to improve as she steps up in journey and the mile second-up is ideal. Ryan Wiggins picks up the ride and with a drop back in class, she is the one to beat. WHISKY TRAIN (5) was a beaten favourite at Ipswich a fortnight ago and will be peaking his fitness third up. He will relish the step up in trip and should pick up an overdue win at short notice. ACES UP (2) ran on late when finishing second at Ipswich last time out and would have probably been one of the favourites here had he drawn a decent gate. He is suited to the extra journey and if the gaps come at the right time, he can take this out. Watch for him late. ALIGN THE PLANETS (1) has gone close to breaking his maiden status in the past and should now be ready third up to show some worthwhile form. A good draw helps. Include in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Alaska De Lune to win.
