Speed to come from Dezuri who has led in recent times. There is not a great deal of pace evident in this six furlong sprint so DEZURI from a wide gate can cross to the lead and control the race. Showed the way over 1000m at Yarra Valley two runs ago but found one better in the concluding stages. Flopped in heavy ground last start - forgive that run. Looks ready to step up to this distance now. REDWOOD CITY resumed from a 20 week spell last start with a promising 4th over 1200m at Pakenham after racing just in behind the leaders. Strips fitter today and from an ideal gate gets the run of the race. WINTON CREEK finished alongside Redwood City at Pakenham which was a very good effort given she travelled wide for the entire journey. Will appreciate being drawn in gate one today so look for a bold performance from this improving filly. SOCIAL STATUS returned in good fashion last time and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Font Magica straight out of strong debut effort.
