NOBLE CANAL (11) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1500m at this track, finishing third and beaten 0.9 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. KURINO SLUGGER (5) made progress last time out, finishing in third at the end of 1500m at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. LEONINO (3) had been rock-solid with four placings in a row before finishing fourth over 1500m at this track last start. Seigo Tsukamoto has registered two minor placings when on board. One of the contenders. AUGURI (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1500m at this track, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
