Pace on from the outset with Square Cut and Liberty Blue pushing forward, closely attended by Madam Mischief and Cyclonite. KUMICHO (1) arrives here for his local debut off the back of an easy last-start win at Wangaratta 4 weeks ago. He showed a fair amount of promise in his short Victorian career, winning 3 times, and should have no trouble measuring up here. His topweight is not too prohibitive and he can work his way to the very top in this area. STARLITE REBEL (8) has come of age in this campaign and after being known for running in the money, he has won his last 2 starts on the bounce, franking his Kingscote win with another victory here nearly 2 weeks ago. She drops 3-kilos and can complete the hat-trick. SQUARE CUT (3) is very consistent at this level and gets on well with Jessie Philpot. She has not missed a cheque in 10 starts in this track, including 3 wins, and has to be hard to beat again. MATHEMATICS (4) needed his resuming run here nearly a fortnight ago. He improves quickly with racing and has the right draw to put his best hoof forward in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kumicho to win.
