The sparingly raced NICCANOVA has been very impressive at his only two runs and looks ready to step up to this trip now. Scored an easy win on debut over 1000m then got back but made a late charge to finish 3rd over 1200m at Eagle Farm last start. Nicely in after the claim and won't spend a penny from gate two. DON'T DOUBT DA WIFE will need a special ride from Jim Byrne coming from the wide gate but on recent form she demands respect. Broke her maiden with a 5.5L romp here two runs back then led until the final few bounds when runner up over this course and distance last start. Progressing well and is certainly up to this task with luck in running. UP THE TEMPO has been very good in two runs this prep and will be peaking now. Finished the race off well to grab 3rd over this course and distance last start. Won third up last prep so has a sense of timing. TWO SHOES and DIA DE REYES are also chances.
