Vintage Quartz and Battle Hardened can contest the early lead. VINTAGE QUARTZ is a promising filly yet to miss a place. She has returned in good order with a close second at Sandown last time after a first up Sale win. Should be hard fit and can continue the progression. Should be a good betting race for three year olds. VINTAGE QUARTZ will be heading on speed. Her Melbourne form is strong and the stable might have found a race easier than those recently contested. BATTLE HARDENED keeps attacking the line. She is unbeaten here and gets on so well for Emily Finnegan. WITH A BIT OF DASH has not been that far away in some Victorian events but those back home are very sound. Gets a soft run all the way. BERNIE made good improvement first run back from a spell. Bred to get further than this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Win bet Vintage Quartz off a good run in Melbourne last start.
