Solid tempo. AUTUMN MISS (11) caught the eye with a solid finish for second at long odds when resuming at Doomben nearly 3 weeks ago. She will relish the step up in journey and is nicely placed to go one better this time. On top. APFEL (10) finished sixth in the same race as the top pick last start and she too is expected to improve quickly once she gets up over ground. Michael Rodd sticks with her and the pair merit healthy respect. SALAMANCAS (4) has not helped himself lately by making slow starts and he ran on too late last time out at the Sunshine Coast. He draws the pole position and with an even beginning, he is up to winning a race like this. He is worth the risk. CRIMSON BEAUTY (13) could add some value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Salamancas each-way.
