Genuine tempo with the speedy Smokehouse Brown and Tullicious matching motors. COASTAL GROOVE (1) Deep Field gelding who resumed with a close-up seventh over 1350m at Wyong on April 11. Strips much fitter now and will relish the drop in grade. BUBBLES AND CAVIAR (2) sharp improvement at second race start when stalked the speed for a fighting long neck second over 1262m at this track on April 20. Gets all the favours from the gate and can go one better. TIGON PRINCESS (3) two runs back have been okay and near her top for this after finishing 4 lens adrift when eighth over 1400m at Scone on April 16. In leading provincial yard and looks a solid top-three chance. HOOD RIVER (7) best effort in nine starts when held on well to secure third over 1200m at Merriwa on April 27.
