Lots of pace on paper so expect a genuine tempo. HAT HOT HAT (1) ran a fair race in his stable debut over 1200m on this course last time out when finishing fifth of 10. He would have come on from the run and should like the extra 400m in distance. He meets the right field and with Marco van Rensburg retaining the ride rates highly. OUTER DIMENSION (7) showed improvement in her first run for the Alan Greeff stable when finishing fifth over 1400m last start. She will like the extra 200m on offer today and if getting away to a clean start from her handy draw of three should be finishing in the money. SPECMAGIC (3) finished sixth of eight two runs back then improved last start to finish third of 10 over 1400m at Fairview. Has his share of ability and looks hard to beat. MASTER OF DEFENSE (5) stayed on well at the finish over 1400m last time when well supported but found one too good on the day. He is likely to race up on the speed after jumping from the widest gate and may prove hard to peg back.
