Only a moderate tempo with no recognised leaders engaged. LAVONI (13) was second when resuming and then ran on late for fifth as favourite last time out at Doomben a month ago after getting too far back early on in a tougher line-up. The step up to 1400 metres is ideal at this stage of her prep and she is set to make amends. Follow your money. LITTLE CHARMER (10) is having her third start since arriving from Victoria and will be at her peak fitness now. She is on a 6-day turnaround and that could be the key to her showing some worthwhile form. Each way. SENNACHIE (5) is a long-time maiden who has been a beaten favourite in his last couple of starts and is mixing his form much to the frustration of punters and connections alike. Noel Callow is back in the irons and will help keep him focused during the run and if he was ever going to win a race then this contest sets up quite well for him. He is worth another chance. BARGARA BOUND (2) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lavoni to win.
