Express To Fame may lead for a while. STRATOSPHILLY was heavily-backed in the city 3U but missed the lick badly. Just missed at the provincials prior and can be winning with Pike sticking and an okay off. MONKEY BAR jumped in trip and quinelled here at his second start and can improve off that. Rawiller rides.
Just a modest gallop expected from the small field over the mile, with Express To Fame crossing to lead from Pro Mutual. STRATOSPHILLY got a long way back at Belmont last start after missing the kick and couldn't recover. Closed hard to finish runner up over 1500m at Pinjarra the run before in a much better guide to her chances. WITCHY WAYS sat outside the leader in a small field last start over 1400m and was just fair to the line, beaten 2L. Best run last prep was over this trip so expect improvement this afternoon. MONKEY BAR raced handy with winkers on last start and stuck on well for 2nd over 1760m here. Promising gelding with more upside than his rivals. BIG RANSOM best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Pike to get Stratosphilly home in the first.
