Speed anticipated from Svitanya and Thai Connection. From the wide gate Thai Connection will cross and lead with Svitanya in close attendance. PARTHESIA has been really attacking the line over shorter trips and looks beautifully suited up to this trip. Came from next to last over the mile at Bendigo last start and stormed home to be beaten just 0.6L. That was second up off a 54 day break so should be peaking here. Although a 20 start maiden TRIPPIN AWAY poses the biggest threat. Settled close and boxed on fairly to finish third over 1700m at Warrnambool last time out. Has placed 3/4 at this trip and even though he has been in work for a while continues to race competitively. SVITANYA stepped up sharply in trip last start when a tiring fifth over 2000m at Donald. Will no doubt strip fitter for that effort and with a soft run in front could run a cheeky race back to this distance. Our Floral Star next best in a race without much depth. SUGGESTED PLAY: Very keen on Parthesia.
