Strong pace from Chateauneuf and Hayday with Sky Cap on their heels. WINGS OF WAR (2) sat on the speed and was caught late as the $2.40 favourite last start and has been back to the trials since. Bowman hops back aboard however and with a touch of luck from the awkward alley, he can get back to winning ways. VERY GRATEFUL (8) was great in his HK debut when flying home from the back of the pack to be 1.8L away at a massive price. He may be able to sit closer from an inside draw today and he's still learning his craft. Showed good signs last start and can put himself in the frame once again. KING MILES (4) gets the winkers on today as he continues to play the role of bridesmaid. He was beaten as a $1.60 pop last start right on the post under Purton, but he is right on the cusp of another victory. Hard to ignore what he's done recently. CHATEAUNEUF (1) is in great form and only just missed last start after not having much luck. Can go one better without surprising.
