Taguig and Grecian Storm have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. RENEGADE CHIEF (5) has built nicely into his debut prep and looks to be peaking now. Keeps Milnes aboard and from the kind draw gets the chance to settle closer. Ready to break through. JOHNNY THE JET (7) showed improvement last start at Balaklava when chasing gamely into midfield. Kept fresh with 35 days between runs and gets in light with the 3kg claim. Further improvement is expected and he can give this a shake. HOLDER MAID (9) was doing her best work late second-up at Strathalbyn. Interesting to see her dropping back in trip on the short turnaround. Worth monitoring. POWER PRIMO (10) continues to find it tough to break through but has some sound efforts scattered through her form. Drawn wide. One for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Renegade Chief to win.
