Solid tempo with Afro Prince leading from Ripening and Power Kingdom. RIPENING (8) stepped up in trip to 1600m last time at this track and while unplaced he was only 1.75 lengths away in sixth. Was racing well with a string of wins and placings prior. Appeals back in trip this time so can bounce back. COSMO CONQUEST (4) put the writing on the wall last start and was beaten just a neck into second over 1400m at this track. That made it three placings in a row. Steps up a level but he is good enough to figure in the finish. AFRO PRINCE (5) was prominent on the bend and finished third last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 0.6 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. SANTO GRAAL (2) improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track. Can feature.
