O'reg and Smashing Ruby possess good early speed. THE CUBAN (4) has been good in his last two in stronger races, finishing well from back in the field. He's capable of sitting closer, and Stanley takes over from the 2kg apprentice. Carries more weight, but is well placed at best. O'REG (3) spiked his figures, beaten a nose this track/grade. Comes back 200m, but is free running and jumps from the inside barrier. Holding the form, the veteran will he tough to peg back. WARLIST (6) didn't enjoy the wet track last time, but he missed a whisker here prior. Maps for a soft run and has a handy 2kg claim. A winning chance as well. SMASHING RUBY (11) won well this grade at Moe and maps well. The 2kg claim brings her into it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to The Cuban each-way.
