Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. ROLLING STONE (1) was poor at last start but ran good seconds in both of his starts prior. ZERRE (8) resumes in this. She has been once placed and it came right here. Ready to rumble after two trials for a third then a win. Include the filly everywhere. ELIGIUS (4) is on debut. Three-year-old gelding by Santos out of Annonay. Four times trialled for a win, a second and a fourth. Dam has left Super Infinity (1 win). Will have some support. GADABOUT (12) is also on debut. Three-year-old filly by Vadamos out of Oodles. Fourth in her only trial over 850m at Te Awamutu May 27. Dam has left two winning foals with Bow Hill (3 wins) the most prolific. Wide gate an issue. JUSTADUDE (2) has been modest at best since resuming for a new yard. Last in both clockwise runs, which is a worry. Likely improver in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rolling Stone is the logical winner. Zerre looks a main danger.
