Good tempo with several going forward, primarily Cosmic Queen, Ride On and Stars And Bra's. COSMIC QUEEN (3) ran on strongly when winning her last start over this distance on the Standside course. Gavin Lerena retains the ride, and she can follow up with another victory. ARTISTE (2) ran a decent race when third over 1160m on the Standside course last start. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Craig Zackey may be able to get the best out of her when it matters most. NIGHT VIGIL (1) stayed on at the finish over 1200m at Greyville last time. Three of her four career victories have come over this distance. The 4kg claiming apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia is booked to ride and she cannot be ignored. MISS ARGONAUT (7) stayed on strongly when fifth over 1200m at Scottsville last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She drops back in distance and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
