Plenty of pace evident with Peschiera and Toes In The Water leading the way from Super Nui and Rothrock. CALIFORNIA SUNRISE (3) underrated mare ready to produce fourth up in this easier contest. Had excuses when covering plenty of ground in the run before chipping away late when fifth to Mickey's Medal over 1500m at Rosehill. Finds a winnable race with leading rider aboard. SUPER NUI (1) going nicely through her grades and starting to build a solid winning CV. Backed off the map at latest when she had the race won a long way out, saluting by 3 lens over 1400m at Hawkesbury. Hard to knock winning form. LOWLANDS (8) comes up from Victoria after showing improvement at her last three runs. Will appreciate the claim again after closing off strongly when second over 1400m at Pakenham. Stalks the pace and has genuine top-three claims. TRAFALGAR SQUARE (7) hard to catch on her day and deserves another chance with the good tempo expected. Kept safe in betting when finishing a dismal seventh over 1550m at Canterbury. Assess on her good second two back in Midway company. SUGGESTED PLAY: California Sunrise each way.
