MONARCH PRINCE (5) recorded a strong performance last start when he battled on bravely to just miss out over 2000m at this track. Finds a tougher race but a big run is on the cards. WITHOUT COMPARISON (7) finished fourth last start, beaten 15 metres at Ashburton Raceway over 2400m. Capable of playing a major role so has to be respected. DIEDRE FRANCO (2) is worth another chance after a last-start seventh over 2600m at this track nine days ago. MODE (3) could only finish sixth over 2000m at Rangiora most recently. Open to improvement and is in the mix.
