FIFTYSHADES CRESCO (8) finished seventh last start, beaten 10 metres at Newcastle over 1609m. Should enjoy a nice smother from this draw and will be looking for a split at some stage. Taking on a better field but she is up to the task. A VAPAR STORM (9) has been racing very well of late and went close again last time over 2125m at this track, finishing second and 2.5 metres from the winner. No favours expected from this draw. Leading hope based on those recent efforts. THE MALDIVES (2) last appeared when sixth over 1720m at this track five-and-a-half months ago. Look out for any positive market movement. BETTING STAR (3) could only finish eighth over 1720m at this track most recently. Open to improvement and is in the mix.
