Expecting Zouandme to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. Note that due to the unraceable condition of the chute this race will be contested over 1130m. Tricky one to assess with the main hopes coming back from spells. LUCKY NEKO (8) returns after a five-month break. Opened last prep with a gallant third in heavy going over 1010m at Murwillumbah. In good hands and should be ready to make an immediate impact. OL' MATE COOP (12) last appeared when a distant third on debut over 800m on a soft track at Coffs Harbour on 12 January. No subsequent barrier trials to measure him by. Has some ability so any betting push should be respected. ZOUANDME (6) has switched stables and is back from a four-month break. In the market at both runs to date but didn't fire. Expect he has a bit more to offer. Others making their returns today are HEZANUFF (2) and SHACKAMAXON (9). Both showed enough when last in work to suggest they can be competitive in this pretty plain affair. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lucky Neko to win.
