Candlelight Dinner can be prominent. WINNING CIGAR (6) is on debut for the David Hayes stable and has shown good signs at the trials leading into this. The gelding was given a quiet time of it most recently, but he led and did it easy in his prior trials, including at this track. Purton rides and he finds a good race to start his career. DAY DAY VICTORY (11) won two on-end before a 4L defeat most recently as favourite at this track and trip. He faded on the run late last time out, but now comes into this with 21 days between runs, which was the winning recipe earlier this campaign. Maps well and can put his best foot forward. HAPPY UNITED (3) wasn't far away last start in the same race as Day Day Victory and has trialled well since that performance. He's 511 days without a win, but he's on the cusp and has to be included. SPICY SPANGLE (8) finished just behind Happy United last start and has to be in the mix despite his wide alley.
