Despite the small field Scorched Lane, Amberina and Mometz can set a strong tempo. SCORCHED LANE (4) looks the one to beat. He's placed in all three runs to date, resuming with a narrow second placing over 1008m at Sale, heavily backed into $1.55 on that occasion, just unable to reel in the leader. Looks ideally placed to 1200m now and should really be taking care of these. MOMETZ (3) resumes. He showed promise in his initial campaign, placing in his first couple of runs. He's drawn well and a danger. AMBERINA (6) is going okay and can beat home NIGHT BEAUTY (7) for third who wasn't bad on debut at Moe despite starting huge odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Scorched Lane to win.
